“We want the scholarship recipient to encompass everything Dolly Monroe Beauty Academy is about—someone who inspires and evokes beauty inside and out,” said Monroe.

“My Aunt Tasha was an incredibly strong woman who had such a positive impact not only on her family, but those who she worked with, as well,” said Monroe. “Breast cancer has taken so much from so many, but this scholarship is our way of turning it around and giving back, just like Aunt Tasha gave back to so many others.”

The deadline for essay submissions is Dec. 15. Thereafter, top candidates will be invited for an interview with executive staff members and a tour of the academy. The winner of the scholarship will be announced on Dec. 23 as a holiday gift.

The earliest course that the scholarship may be used for begins Feb. 28, 2022.
